Kids Yoga is held at the LIttle Lotus Baby Studio in Hemel and is a great way for children to rest and unwind after a week at school. There are no more than 5 children in a class creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere. For children from Reception class and upwards

About The Event

The classes have been designed with love, to encourage children to explore and engage with Yoga. After a week of busy school life attending a 45 min class at the relaxing LLB studio will be just the perfect way to start the weekend.

During the 45min session (3:45 - 4:30) If there is a problem with getting to class on time after school please let me know as I maybe able to adjust the start time.

Dates: Fridays, March 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd

Parents are welcome to stay and watch (babies and siblings also welcome) but I have only allocated space for the children to participate in the physical side of the Yoga. This is a bit different to Family Yoga where parents participate as well. At this age I am encouraging independence, self esteem and awareness of yoga tools that the children can use for themselves. Learning ways to feel good, to overcome stress and anxiety can be great strategies to take away from the class and use at school or when they are not in the comfort of the family unit.

It is really important that children experience consistency and routine as well as excitement and adventure. So the structure of the class will be as listed below. The variable each week will be the story and some of the asanas that we explore. However each story adventure will contain some of the previous weeks Asanas to encourage self esteem and positive achievement.

During a class we will cover

● Kids Yoga Breathing

Exploring different resources & games to help us become aware of our breath and how we can use our breath to help us to feel calm.

●Yoga Games

Movement & games that encourage being silent . This helps children to explore what quiet is in a fun way.

● Story Yoga

Using the magic of story we will go on a yoga journey together.

● Relaxation

Learning and practising ways to help our bodies and minds to relax

Relaxation activity

We may create, make or discuss something before saying goodbye.

(Some of these elements may change and evolve as the session unfolds).

In addition to the 45min class you will also.....

Parking: There are 2 spaces on the drive, parking in the road and in the carpark at the end of the RD.
